Micro-XRF data of Orakei Basin (New Zealand)

DOI

Presented are 87645 Itrax micro-XRF elemental downcore variation data points from Orakei Basin on the ECD scale and on the age scale. The ECD was developed in Peti and Augustinus (2019), the age model was developed in Peti et al. (2020).The data spans the time interval ca. 132 to 9.8 ka.Itrax micro-XRF data was acquired for all cores was acquired with an Itrax micro-XRF core scanner (Cox Analytical Systems, Gothenburg, Sweden) equipped with the Mo X-ray tube (at 30 kV, 55 mA) at 1 mm spatial resolution and 10 s exposure time/measurement interval. We use the reported data for paleoenvironmental reconstructions over the given time frame and comparison with other sites in the region.
