Selected age-diagnostic datums from Site 1148, including planktonic foraminifer datums (Wang et al., 2000; Li et al., 2004), nannofossil datums (Su et al., 2004), isotopic events (Zhao et al., 2001), and Brunhes/Matuyama boundary geomagnetic event (Wang et al., 2000), with ages adjusted to the time scale of Gradstein et al. (2004). Depth, sediment= meter composite depth (mcd).
