The density of Ti-rich silicate liquids with respect to the lunar mantle determines their buoyancy within the lunar interior; however, the physical properties of such liquids are highly compositionally dependent due to the complex role of titanium within the melt structure. To address this, we will determine the density of Ti-rich silicate liquids using the X-ray absorption method (Beer-Lambert Law) at high pressure high temperature (PT) conditions up to 5 GPa, 2200 K, generated using the Paris-Edinburgh press. Furthermore, we will take X-ray diffraction for liquid structure analysis at select PT conditions which will be complemented by our ab initio molecular dynamics simulations.
