Soil respiration, temperature and moisture on a 1 ha plot in a seasonally dry tropical forest in southern Vietnam

DOI

The data set contains 457 measurements of soil CO efflux, soil temperature and (some of points) soil volumetric water content, measured on 50+ points in 9 sequences. The data has been collected during dry season from December 2107 to February 2018 across a 1 ha plot in a seasonally dry tropical forest of south of Vietnam, within the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve. Aim of the study was to identify and quantify the size and the temporal behavior of "hot spots" of soil respiration. Measured flux values (Carbon dioxide efflux, molm-2day-1) are integral CO₂ emission values, i.e. autotrophic + heterotrophic + litter respiration. Detailed methods are described in (Avilov et al., 2019).Please note that the rainy season with higher soil moisture levels is not covered in this data set.

Distance to measurement point northward and eastward from a zero point is defined as distance from event Cat_Tien_1 (11.440252 N, 107.400126 E).
