Magnetic structure determinations in the complex boride Mn3Co20B6

DOI

The experiment will study the magnetic structure in the complex boride Mn3Co20B6. Substitutions in this compound makes it possible to tune the magnetic properties, thus, making it a promising candidate for magnetic cooling. In Mn3Co20B6, a number of different magnetic features is observed at a wide temperature range. From dynamic magnetic fluctuations at ~120 K, to the ferromagnetic transition at ~525 K, and above. To study this would therefore advance the knowledge and as a consequence, yield knowledge to the entire community of magnetic cooling.
