This entry includes the first part of the e-book "Gospod z Ezl eka" (The man from Ezl Ek) by author Matej Krajnc (COBISS.SI-ID 270131715, ISBN 978-961-7272-38-3).

The absurd novel "The man from Ezlek" tells the story of a man they know from Ezl ek, but one day he suddenly disappears, and the family moves from the strict city center to Lent. The story is a kind of quasi-bildungsroman of Mr. Vladimir Kalember and his bourgeois Maribor family. Ezl ek is an iconic Maribor location, canonized in the song of the same name performed by Ivo Mojzer. The location is inextricably linked to Maribor social life, especially that of the first post-war generations, and Krajnc skillfully weaves its connotations into the story "The man from Ezl ek".
