The impact of MOSE flood barriers on microphytobenthic community of the Venice lagoon

MOSE is a system of mobile gates able to temporarily isolate the Venice Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea to protect the city from extremely high tides. The data present in this study refer to mesocosm experiments aimed at simulating the structural alterations that microbial, microphytobenthos and phytoplankton assemblages might encounter when the MOSE system is operational.
