Pomphorhynchus laevis Genome sequencing and assembly

Thorny-headed worms (Acanthocephala) are endoparasites exploiting mandibulate and gnathostome hosts. They occur word-wide and are economically relevant in fish farming. We assembled a genome draft, transcriptome and mitochondrial genome from the fish-infecting palaeacanthocephalan Pomphorhynchus laevis (Zoega in Müller, 1776).
