Observing the work of Territorial defense during the war was one-in-a-time opportunity to study the military organization in operation from a certain point of view, not present in everyday situation. On different premises, the study of this situation would be carried out only on theoretical basis, but this specific situation gave the research team ability to empirically explore the military organization in operation. In this situation research team had opportunity to analyze the former situation and based on this knowledge, formed the activities and the future plans for military organization, as such. The research team emphasized on studying the role of soldier and his qualities on the level of individual and military collective in conditions of war. Therefore we concluded that the object of the research was attitude of the members of Territorial defense in the time of war. We paid a great deal of attention to their values, their opinions about safety regulations and military questions shaped upon their experiences in the war. We also wanted to include positive or negative empirical experience that would improve the development of Territorial defense.
