Das Datenprodukt CILS4EU-DE-ADIAB wird gemeinsam vom Mannheimer Zentrum für Europäische Sozialforschung (MZES) der Universität Mannheim und dem Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung (IAB) angeboten. Die verknüpften Daten bestehen aus Befragungsdaten des „Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Survey in Four European Countries – Germany“ (CILS4EU-DE) und deren Personendaten aus den administrativen Daten des IAB, sofern die Befragten ihre Zustimmung zur Verknüpfung der Daten erteilt haben und in den Daten des IAB identifiziert werden konnten. Die Daten des Projekts CILS4EU bestehen aus der deutschen Teilstudie des internationalen Projekts CILS4EU (Wellen 1-3) sowie der deutschen Erweiterung CILS4EU-DE (Wellen 4-9). Für das verknüpfte Datenprodukt CILS4EU-DE-ADIAB wird jeweils die reduzierte Version (Downloadversion) der CILS4EU und CILS4EU-DE Daten zur Verfügung gestellt. Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt der Daten erlaubt die Analyse komplexer Prozesse der Integration von selbst eingewanderten Jugendlichen oder Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund. Hierfür werden die Befragten seit 2010 im Alter von 14 oder 15 befragt, wodurch Integrationsprozesse während des Übergangs von der Jugend ins Erwachsenenleben abgebildet werden. Inhalte der Befragung umfassen verschiedene Indikatoren der strukturellen, sozialen, kulturellen und emotionalen Integration, wie etwa Bildungs- und Arbeitsmarkterfolg, Freundschaften und Partnerschaften, Sprachkompetenz, Einstellungen oder nationale und Herkunftslandidentifikation.

Dadurch erlauben die Daten die längsschnittliche Analyse des komplexen kausalen Zusammenspiels verschiedener Prozesse struktureller, sozialer, kultureller und emotionaler Integration. Zudem erlaubt die Stichprobe die Analyse von Unterschieden in diesen Prozessen zwischen verschiedenen ethnischen Gruppen.

The data product CILS4EU-DE-ADIAB is provided cooperatively by the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) of the University of Mannheim and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), Nuremberg. CILS4EU-DE-ADIAB consists of the survey data of respondents of the „Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Survey in Four European Countries – Germany“ (CILS4EU-DE) and administrative data of the IAB, in case the respondents consented to their records being linked and could be identified in the IAB data. The data from the CILS4EU project consist of the German sub-study of the international CILS4EU project (waves 1–3) and the German CILS4EU-DE add-on study (waves 4–9). The reduced version (download version) of the CILS4EU and CILS4EU-DE data is made available for the linked data product CILS4EU-DE-ADIAB. The content of the data focuses on the complex processes of integration of young people who have immigrated themselves or have a migrant background. To this end, respondents have been interviewed since 2010 at the age of 14 or 15, which enables integration processes during the transition from youth to adulthood to be documented. The content of the survey includes various indicators of structural, social, cultural and emotional integration, such as educational and labour market success, friendships and partnerships, language skills, attitudes or national and country of origin identification.

This allows the data to be used to analyse the complex causal interaction between various processes of structural, social, cultural and emotional integration.
