14C ages exceed the Marine04 data set (Hughen et al., 2004a). Converted to calendar years using 14C versus GISP2 calendar age calibration curve (Hughen et al., 2004b). 14C dates were reservoir-corrected by 503 yr. This value is the sum of the global average surface ocean reservoir correction of 400 yr (Stuiver and Braziunas, 1993) and Delta R of 103 ± 23 years for the Chatham Islands (Reimer and Reimer, 2001).
