Dataset DescriptionThis dataset accompanies the systematic review “Parallelism in Neurodegenerative Biomarker Tests: Hidden Errors and the Risk of Misconduct.”It contains the curated dilutional data used to generate 49 standardized partial parallelism plots across key biomarker assays for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and related neurodegenerative conditions. The dataset includes raw and processed dilution curves for major biomarkers such as: Amyloid fragments, A-beta 1-40, A-beta 1-42, A-beta oligomers, alpha-synuclein, DJ-1, total tau protein (Tau), phospho tau proteins (pTau181, pTau217, pTau231), Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) isoforms E2, E3, E4, neurofilament light chain (NfL), neurofilament heavy chain (NfH), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), and poly(GP).Each dataset entry is annotated with:Sample type (serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid)Assay platform and dilution stepsClassification of outcome (partial parallelism achieved or not)Use cases:This dataset is designed to help researchers, assay developers, and meta-analysts to:Reproduce figures and analyses from the published reviewBenchmark or validate new assay performance pipelinesTrain algorithms for automated detection of dilutional non-parallelismFiles included:.csv files containing dilution–response dataMetadata spreadsheets with assay and sample annotations
