High-resolution terrigenous elements (ITRAX), sortable silt mean and bottom current velocity from sediment core PS118_63-1

DOI

In this study, we investigated glacial-interglacial terrigenous (K, Fe, Ti, Rb and Zr), authigenic uranium and productivity flux variations from marine sediment core PS118_63-1 (Powell Basin) for the past 145 ka. High-resolution bottom current strength was also reconstructed using XRF-derived mean sortable silt grain size fraction. This dataset contains XRF elements (Ca, K, Fe, Ti, Rb and Zr), sortable silt and bottom current data. Our findings show significant glacial-interglacial fluctuations in bottom current speed, with enhanced current speeds during interglacials and weaker current speeds during glacial periods.
