CuIr2S4 thiospinel undergoes a simultaneous charge-ordering and spin-singlet-formationtransition at Ts=230 K. We suggest a polarized neutron flipping ratio experiment on d3 inthe paramagnetic metallic state (T>230 K) to gain information on spatial distribution ofinduced magnetization density just above the metal-isolator transition. The model of one-dimensional orbital wave of Croft NJP 9, 86(2007) will be verified and the issue of magnetization density distribution in a system with strong spin-orbit coupling will be addressed.
