Spin excitations in CeCoSi under hydrostatic pressure

DOI

The meta-orbital transition is a new theoretical concept to explain the nature of quantum criticality in heavy-fermion systems. Such a transition can occur e.g. as function of pressure from localized behavior at ambient pressure to itinerant 4f states at high pressure. Here, we propose to study the possible meta-orbital transition in CeCoSi. This compound has quite unusual temperature-pressure phase diagram and QCP at 2GPa. At this experiment we want to study the quasielastic magnetic response under hydrostatic pressure when approaching the critical regime. The linewidth of the quasielastic fluctuations should strongly increase with pressure up to critical pressure with no much change beyond.
