OCEANET Cloud radar Mira-35 during POLARSTERN cruise PS106

DOI

The dataset contains daily nc-files of the reflectivity factor, Doppler velocity, spectrum width and linear depolarisation ratio from the OCEANET Doppler cloud radar Mira-35 (Görsdorf et al., 2015 doi:10.1175/JTECH-D-14-00066.1) during Polarstern cruise PS106.The cloud radar was operated in vertical-stare mode. Heave correction was performed based on information from the inertial system haliburton of Polarstern and 0.25-s raw data (noise-containing spectra) of Mira-35. Pitch- and roll motion was corrected by means of an active stabilization platform between 24 May and 11 June 2017. The data is calibrated within the Cloudnet (Illingworth, 2007 doi:10.1175/BAMS-88-6-883) processing scheme.
