To collect information about the people who had become members of community health councils.

Attitudinal/Behavioural Questions Past experience of public and voluntary bodies. Views on certain aspects of the health service, for example - adequacy of services in general and, in particular, domiciliary services, transport, pharmaceutical services, long-stay hospitals, general hospital services, dental services, general practice. Also, which groups (e.g. mentally handicapped, elderly) should get priority for better services. Views on functions of CHC's. Background Variables Place and length of residence (i.e. whether in CHC's district), nominating body, age, sex, marital status, number of children, educational history, qualifications, employment status, occupation.
