HoFeO3 have two magnetic ions, Ho3+ and Fe3+, and three types of magnetic interactions between these two ions. These three interactions play different roles at different temperature ranges. The Fe3+-Fe3+ interaction induce the canted antiferromagnetic arrangement of Fe3+ at room temperature. The Ho3+-Fe3+ interaction cause a phase transition at about 50K. The effective moment of the canted Fe3+ transfer from one axis to another axis. We want to measure the spin wave below and above the transition temperature to study the interaction between the spin of Ho3+ and Fe3+ and the anisotropy in this material.
