Phylogenetic analysis of Echinoderms

Echinoderms are the second largest phylum of deuterostomes after chordates and serve as important model systems for developmental biology and regeneration. We assembled de novo transcriptomes from ovary tissue of 20 echinoderms in order to determine the phylogenetic relationships of extant echinoderms.
