Photosynthetic primary production in the euphotic zone of the Cretan Sea at Station APRIL-1995-D4


Microplankton species composition analysis was performed according to the inverted microscope method of Utermoehl. Samples for identification and enumeration of larger phytoplankton cells (>5 µm) were preserved in alkaline Lugol solution. Utermoehl, H., 1958.
