Thermal desorption of palmitic acid on iron oxide

DOI

This experiment is to study the thermal desorption of two simple, model additives adsorbed at the iron oxide / oil interface, to establish their behaviour at industrially relevant temperatures. Only neutron reflection is able to provide the structural and compositional information required to underpin our understanding of these and related systems.
