South Atlantic Multi-Site Calibration of Coral Oxygen Isotope Paleothermometer

DOI

The dataset presented here comprises stable oxygen isotope (δ¹⁸O) measurements from coral records of the species Siderastrea stellata, collected at three locations in the tropical western South Atlantic (TWSA): Todos os Santos Bay, Tamandaré, and Rocas Atoll. The isotopic records were sampled at 0.4 mm intervals. δ¹⁸O values were calibrated against the Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite (VPDB) standard using NBS19, with an analytical precision better than ±0.07‰ (±1σ, n = 141).
