Microgadus tomcod strain:Hudson River Genome sequencing and assembly

Atlantic tomcod is a common, anadromous, benthic fish species whose distribution ranges in estuaries from the Hudson River, New York to Labrador. Interest in tomcod results from their historically high prevalence of liver tumors in the Hudson River population and their rapid development of resistance to PCBs and dioxin contaminants.
