This dataset contains a list of recommendations on prevention and reduction of primary production food loss for different food supply chain actors. It was compiled between January and July 2025 based on a screening of policy briefs, stakeholder guidelines and reports from projects and organisations dealing with food loss and waste as well as intermediate outcomes of the FOLOU project. The purpose of this dataset is to lay the groundwork for the development of stakeholder-specific practice guidelines for food loss prevention and reduction. The list and examples given are therefore explecitly not claimed to be exhaustive.
