Comparative Transcriptomics analysis revealed the unique immune response mechanism of Squaliobarbus curriculus to GCRV infection

The genetic profile of the barbel chub species resembles that of the grass carp. However, barbel chub demonstrates resistance to GCRV, and there remains a dearth of knowledge regarding the immune mechanisms employed by the barbel chub in response to GCRV. In this study, we performed a global transcriptional profiling from four tissues (liver, spleen, head-kidney and trunk-kidney) analysis of GCRV-induced barbel chub to explore the distinctive response mechanism of barbel chub towards GCRV.
