We propose to carry out inelastic neutron scattering experiments to study magnetic excitation spectrum in FeCrAs. FeCrAs exhibits magnetic ordering around 125 K, which is similar to the parent compounds of Fe-pnictide superconductors, but transport properties at low temperatures are non-metalic and unconventional. Ordered magnetic moments are mostly within Cr sublattice, and Fe sublattice does not seem to contribute much to the magnetic order according to the neutron powder diffraction study. We would like to investigate the low energy magnetic excitations arising from the ordered Cr sublattice, and also possible spin fluctuations in Fe sublattice.
