PartiRep II Longitudinal Electoral Survey

DOI

The main purpose of this survey is to gauge citizens' political attitudes, their political behavior (participation, voting behaviour), and changes in these factors during the campaign. To detect these changes, this survey includes two waves. The first wave (administered before the elections) consists of a face-to-face survey of residents of Flanders and Wallonia who were entitled to vote in the elections of May 25, 2014, and whose age did not exceed 85 years. This age limit was introduced to reduce non-response due to physical or mental inability. Wave 1 was conducted from March 20 until May 17, 2014. It includes a total of 2019 respondents, which corresponds to 45% of the addresses initially provided by the National Register. The second wave (administered after the elections) consists of a telephone survey of all wave 1 participants. It was conducted from May 26 until July 1, 2014. It includes 1532 observations, which corresponds to 76% of the observations in wave 1.
