Investigation of magnetic phase coexistence and determination of magnetic phase diagram in Mn(1-x)Fe(x)WO4

The solid solution Mn(1-x)Fe(x)WO4 exhibits complex antiferromagnetic order with coexistence of commensurate and incommensurate magnetic structures. Furthermore, the MnWO4 end member has been identified as a multiferroic material and much evidence exists that demonstrates the coupling between the electronic and magnetic ordering. This experiment proposes to investigate the phase diagram of this multiferroic solid solution, to complete a data set previously recorded at ISIS and to determine the interplay between the different magnetic structures present in the different regions of phase diagram.
