Chemical composition and near-infrared spectra of cow milk

This dataset includes information on 333 cow individual milk samples from Holstein-Friesian, crossbreed and Rendena breeds from 6 commercial multi-breed herds located in the Veneto Region (North-Eastern Italy). For each sample, chemical composition (fat, %; protein, %; casein, %; lactose, %; MUN, mg/dL; freezing point, °C) and short-wave near-infrared spectra (740 to 1070 nm) were registered. Short-wave near-infrared spectra were collected with two devices (A and B) working in reflectance and expressed as log(1/Reflectance).
