Saccharomyces paradoxus sampling, genotype, and phenotype data from Nehmten Forest, Germany

DOI

We compared the sampling success and biases of two sampling strategies for isolating Saccharomyces yeasts from natural substrates. We attempted to isolate S. paradoxus from leaf litter and soil from a forest in northern Germany using a direct plating method and an enrichment method. The data in this collection include our sampling success, the identities of isolated yeast species, and genotype and phenotype data for the S. paradoxus we found.
