This dataset presents a cave paleotemperature reconstruction over the last glacial termination from stalagmite REI 7-2 from Rei do Mato Cave in Minas Gerais State, central-eastern South America (19.50°S, 44.28°W, 800 masl).Owing to slight differences in the geometry of growth layers between the two slabs, layers corresponding to the same age may occur at slightly different depths. Therefore, independent age models were calculated for each slab using U–Th dates obtained from samples drilled directly from Slab2, as well as dates visually projected from Slab1. These values were used to calculate the age model for the microthermometry profile. The final age models, calculated using StalAge (Scholz and Hoffmann, 2011), yielded consistent results
Uncertainty for ages from Slab2 [±2 standard deviations] was enlarged by 50% to account for uncertainty in the visual projection of the sample position onto Slab 1.
