While interference and pollution by human on environment is getting worse, the pollution by human is leading to the change of the organisms of an ecosystem. Since pollution itself is a selection pressure, organisms will adapt to the new environment by developing various strategies. In order to decipher the impact of the pollution on the microorganisms of the fishing ports in Keelung area and an island beach as a control, we collected the surface water in August 2021, aiming to investigate the biodiversity of the microorganisms. This research will be the first one for discovering the microorganisms in response to the pollution in the fishing harbors of Taiwan.
