The farmed sea cucumber Holothuria scabra is an ecologically and economically important marine organism belonging to the Echinodermata phylum. In this work, we carried out an analysis of the differential expression of its immune cells, the coelomocytes, exposed to an immunological stress consisting of exposure to lipopolysaccharides. The aim of this study is to gain knowledge of the molecular components of this valuable species, with a view to improving their health in aquaculture, as well as providing valuable data for comparative immunology.
