The main purpose of this survey was to provide information on the link between higher education and employment.

Variables Subject and class of first degree; sex, age, marital status; details of first and latest job (including occupation, type of work, sector of employment, dates, salary and broad location); methods of finding job; Career aspirations during degree course; reasons for choosing jobs; details of post-graduate qualifications, details of training course, school attended, 'A' level information; social class of parents when the graduate entered university or polytechnic.
