Research project:
Despite potential cost savings, carriers are often reluctant to collaborate on deliveries. Sustainable collaboration requires preserving competitiveness, customer privacy, and service quality. This study introduces the Consistent Collaborative Vehicle Utilization (CCVU) framework, in which carriers borrow vehicles from each other to improve efficiency. Each customer is served by their designated carrier within a specified time window. We present an integer programming model and a branch-and-price algorithm, supported by heuristics for larger instances.
