Vibrio parahaemolyticus, found in marine environments, has been determined as the lead causative agent for seafood-borne human gastroenteritis globally. Relative to the rest of the world, occurrence in Europe has traditionally been uncommon, yet, increased sea surface temperatures have resulted in higher prevalence of V. parahaemolyticus within Europe and the United Kingdom. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of four novel V. parahaemolyticus strains (EXE V18/004, V12/024, V05/313 and V05/027), all isolated from the UK.
