Varve thickness measurements from ODP Site 169-1034 in Saanich Inlet, British Columbia

DOI

Measured and detrended varve thickness for the past 6000 years from ODP Sites 169-1034 in Saanich Inlet, British Columbia. The data are presented as the median value in fixed 25 year intervals. The data were detrended to correct for compaction, assuming that sediment porosity decreases exponentially with depth. The offset from the best-fit curve is interpreted as interannual variation in sediment supply to Saanich Inlet.
