Magnetic Texture in the Skyrmion State of FeGe

DOI

Skyrmions are topologically protected field configurations with particle-like properties that play an important role in various fields of science. Recently, skyrmions have been observed to be stabilized by an external magnetic field in bulk heli-magnets. FeGe, the subject of the current study, would be an interesting possibility for such an effect since the skyrmion region of the magnetic phase diagram is very near to room temperature and hence useful for applications.
