To collect information for the <i>Wisconsin Agriculturist</i> about farming practices in Wisconsin, farming families' living standards, and the political and social attitudes of Wisconsin farmers and their wives.

Attitude to snowmobiles. Ownership of horses/ponies. Whether man or woman keeps farm accounts, whether woman helps with fieldwork, whether wife makes farm purchasing decisions. Background Variables Age, sex, school-leaving age, religion, type of farmer, tenure of farm, amount of time spent farming, membership of farm organisations, whether any one aspect of the farm accounts for more than 10% of the farm's income, annual total gross income.
