Mutation accumulation in clonal fish hybrids

Some of the most popular explanations of why costly sexual reproduction dominates in eukaryotes involve mechanisms of mutation accumulation in clones, such as the Muller's ratchet hypothesis. In our study we tested predictions of mutation load hypotheses on genomic data, as well as fitness of the clones.
