Transcriptome profiling of Lymnaea stagnalis for ecoimmunology

We applied short-read based RNAseq (NextSeq 500, Illumina) to characterise transcriptome profiles of Lymnaea stagnalis snails that were exposed to immune elicitors (injury, Escherichia coli, Micrococcus lysodeikticus, trematode extracts) as well as environmental changes (elevated temperature, food deprivation). We used a genetically diverse laboratory population of snails to identify components of the immune system that show variation in gene expression among individuals.
