Federated Bookbinding Information System

DOI

This federated bookbinding information system enables a seamless search in both bookbinding projects: Beta maṣāḥǝft and Coptic Bookbinding, breaking down data silos and providing a holistic overview of the information landscape on bookbinding techniques, among others. This integration enables a more comprehensive analysis and the discovery of previously hidden connections between different project areas.

The research was supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) under Germany's Excellence Strategy - EXC 2176 'Understanding Written Artefacts: Material, Interaction and Transmission in Manuscript Cultures', project no. 390893796.
