Our study revolves around exploring the differences between larvae obtained from fresh semen versus those obtained with cryopreserved semen. We determined this on the basis of advanced zootechnics in highly controlled conditions and transcriptomic analysis. We compared 10 families (5 representing cryopreserved group and 5 representing fresh group) and for fertilization of eggs sperm from the same male was used for fertilization first shortly after collection - fresh group - and after application of cryopreservation - cryopreserved group) and reared them during common garden experiment. In the end transcriptomic profile (constituting current set of data) has been generated using expression profile of freshly hatched larvae using RNA-seq technology.
