Transcriptomic responses of Sydney rock oysters to QX disease

Sydney rock oysters in Australia are prone to disease outbreaks, the most common and devastating is QX disease caused by protozoan parasite Marteilia sydneyi. Here, we sequenced RNA extracted from QX-infected digestive gland tissue to investigate differential gene expression in QX-infected and un-infected oysters. This dataset opens opportunities to investigate oyster responses to infection and their immune responses.
