Hydrophis genome sequencing and assembly

Hydrophis are a genus of fully marine sea snakes in the sub-family Hydrophiinae of the family Elapidae. Sea snakes underwent a dramatic and remarkably recent transition from the land-to-sea, yet they remain a conspicuous gap in molecular studies of marine adaptation in vertebrates. This project aims to generate high-quality genomic resources for investigating the genetic basis of the land-to-sea transition in Hydrophis.
