On the study of LiCoPO4 polymorphs

DOI

The LiCoPO4 is known as a promising cathode material for lithium-ion battery applications. Three orthorhombic polymorphs are known of this compound belonging to the Pnma, Cmcm and Pn21a space groups. Among them LiCoPO4-Pnma have been extensively studied, however very poor information about nuclear and magnetic structure is available of the other two. Here we proposed a structural study of Cmcm and Pn21 polymorphs. We apply for three days of neutron beam time at D2B.
