Hydrogenovibrio marinus MH-110 genome sequencing

Hydrogenovibrio marinus MH-110 is an aerobic, mesophilic, obligate chemolithoautotrophic hydrogen-oxidizing bacterium. It grows autotrophically with H2, O2 and CO2. It has a highly O2-resistant hydrogenase. It fixes CO2 via the Calvin-Benson-Bassham cycle under various CO2 conditions by using three ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenases. The bacterium is a promising biocatalyst for production of useful materials from CO2.
