Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis cultivar:981 Genome sequencing and assembly

Red algae are one of the largest phyla in the algae, however, the genomic information about red algae is relatively rare. In this study, we choose an economic macroalga Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis to reconstruct its draft genome. 88.98 Mb genome was generated from 13,825 (>=500 bp) scaffolds with a N50 length of 30,590 bp, and 9,281 protein-coding genes were predicted.
