Global studies of lower mesophotic scleractinian coral's microbiomes

The study report on the deepest photosymbiotic scleractinian corals Leptoseris hawaiiensis collected to date (172 m depth), and use amplicon sequencing to identify the associated symbiotic communities. We used ITS2 markers to identify the composition of associated microbiome communities of photosynthetic algae Symbiodiniaceae.
