Assessing viral diversity of Allium cepa from Brazil

This project aims to assess the viral diversity of cryptic viruses in onion samples from fields in Brazil. Genomic sequences were assembled and molecularly characterized and were also found in TSA datasets of onions from different countries around the world. This work contributes to the understanding of the genetic diversity of partitiviruses and amalgaviruses that infect plants of the genus Allium.
